Children can love and appreciate art too! Not only can it be aesthetically attractive to them, but through art, a lot can also be learned. The following examples are letters designed for an Alphabet picture book with an African theme. Not only can the children enjoy the illustrations and point things out, the parent can also explain what the different letters illustrate and so, by the time the book has been read, the child will have a pictorial understanding of some of the sights and sounds of the African Continent!
