This represents the chain that Paul spoke of in Acts 28:29 'For the hope of Israel, I am bound with this chain' On some of the links of the chain are flags of nations where even today, Christians are persecuted for their faith in one way or another. The purple ribbon sweeping through the picture is a symbol that God's redemptive purposes will continue from generation to generation, no matter what restrictions and opposition may try to stop them.
