MOULD ME, MAKE ME
This picture shows the stages of life
of a lump of clay. It starts with the forming and moulding on the potter's
wheel, followed by exposure to the fire of the kiln, the glazing and then
the finished product. In a similar way, God can use our brokenness (the
unattractive lump of clay..) and mould it into something that is useful
and beautiful in His sight.
The cracked pot at the base of the
picture is meant to portray that even in our failures or 'cracks', God can
shine through just the same. The other theme is that of life's journey -
the mountains and the valleys. The Good Shepherd promises to be especially
close during the valleys
of hardship and suffering ('Do not fear, I am with you...') - often the
place where most fruit is born in our lives. The two edged sword depicts
both the justice and mercy of God's character.
